We want you to have a great relationship with your garden.

Our Team

We’ve also added a few new team members in 2024-2025, and will be updating this soon with a little more info about them!

Hank is a skilled stone mason with over a decade of professional experience working in locations as diverse as Churchill, Manitoba, San Sebastian, Spain, and New Orleans, Louisiana, though he calls Baltimore home.

Hank is trained in restoration masonry and traditional dry stone walling, currently holding the Level 1 Certification through the Dry Stone Walling Association. He leads our hardscaping projects and keeps us all updated on how the Baltimore Orioles and Ravens are doing.

Emma founded Yellow House Farm in 2017 as a market garden growing fruits and veggies for a small CSA. With experience in organic farming, professional gardening, and farm-to-table restaurant cooking, Emma surrounded the namesake yellow house with productive growing spaces and lush edible landscaping.

When plant sale customers asked if she could transform their gardens, the landscaping side of the business quickly took off. In 2020, we made the switch to 100% ecological gardening business, and moved to Waverly.

If not gardening or responding to emails, Emma can generally be found reading, playing baseball in Druid Hill Park, or throwing a frisbee for her dog Zadie. She is also working to restore a long-abandoned orchard in Western Maryland.

Hannah started working with YHF in 2021, coming from a background in nonprofit administration and organic farming. She lends her caring nature and attention to detail to all aspects of the business, from garden maintenance work to administrative duties. She also enjoys competitive weight lifting, and relishes any chance she gets to train on the job (aka moving heavy objects!).

In her scarce free time, Hannah volunteers with the Baltimore Free Farm and works on restoring her rowhouse!
