Our Services

  • If you’re not sure where to start, start here!

Each session is roughly 60-90 minutes together in your garden. I provide personalized information in the form of one-on-one instruction in specific techniques, tailored resources for your space, or planning assistance, depending on what makes sense for you!

This is also the first step for all design projects.

  • We offer regular maintenance, one-time clean-outs, and as-needed maintenance, based on your preferences and the garden needs.

  • We specialize in design for small urban spaces, prioritizing native plant selection.

All design projects begin with an initial consultation session.

  • Problem-solving using plants and other natural materials

  • Custom raised bed installation and/or setup

  • Hardscaping with natural stone and brick

Each coaching or consultation session is 1-2 hours, with follow-up notes and resources via email.

  • Planting design ideas for specific area of your garden

  • Initial consultation if thinking about making bigger changes to your space - where to begin? what to outsource? what to do ourselves?

  • Trouble-shooting specific issues

  • Project management or DIY support

I cannot tell you how many people have raved about our backyard! I’m still just flooded with thankfulness every time I open up the back door, and I love seeing my oldest just doing her own thing out there.

Some of our ecologically-minded practices…

We’re looking out for pollinators. We never spray harmful chemicals.

We don’t use leaf blowers excessively.

We prioritize planting native plants and/or plants that have edible value to humans.

We use reusable tarps and paper bags to handle yard waste (rather than single-use plastic bags).

We support plant health through placement, pruning, and compost.

We think long-term when we’re designing a new garden: how will this be used? maintained? what will happen to the materials over time?

We ask: can we repair instead of replace?

We coordinate projects to share materials or minimize material waste and transportation.

We find good homes for many of the plants we remove (when thinning out a bed or changing the planting scheme).

We look for opportunities to plant trees.
